Back to Nature's Hidden Wonders: Essential Oils from Mountain Rose Herbs

I get most of the base ingredients (essential oils, butters, and veg. carrier oils) for my body care creations from Mountain Rose Herbs. They have an excellent selection of organic and wild-crafted supplies for all soap making and aromatherapy needs, plus their website is chock full of educational information about the products they carry. They also have information about the organizations they support, and have a wonderful newsletter with lots of recipes for natural health, home and pet care.

Joining a Food Co-op

I highly recommend joining a food co-op. I joined the People's Co-op in my local area, and it has been a truly inspiring experience. Food co-ops supply the community with fresh, local, seasonal produce, and an abundance of other natural foods, cleaning products, and body-care items. When there is opportunity to become a member of co-op, there is the opportunity to have a part in the health and safety of the environment and the continuing fair treatment of workers who bring the bounty of nature to us. We have to take responsibility for our own health, and educate others about taking more responsibility for their health and well-being. Joining a co-op is one of the ways we can contribute to our local communities, and provide a better economic structure for all.

To find a food co-op in your area go to this link: www.localharvest.org/food-coops/ and enter your your zip code or state into the box right below the U.S. map, or click on your state and a list of food co-ops in your area will come up. Co-ops are everywhere but are not highly advertised, so one actually has to be looking in order to find one. If you happen to find a food co-op in your area, please consider joining. It will be a rewarding experience!
